The Alden Hotel Splügenschloss is Switzerland’s smallest family–run 5–star hotel consisting of 22 suites only. Guests at the Alden can expect first class hotel service with the comfortable atmosphere of a private home. This unique property, first constructed in 1895, reopened in 2004 after extensive renovations and is calmly situated in the heart of Zurich, near the lake and shopping district.

The suites, varying in size from 60 to 100 square metres, have been individually designed, combining designer furniture with antiques, retaining original stucco work and parquet floors where possible. Each suite has a spacious bedroom, a drawing room providing sufficient space to receive guests, a large bathroom with a separate shower, whirlpool bath and a separate guest toilet.

The Alden boasts two restaurants, offering seasonal cuisine with local and homemade products. Guests can enjoy a romantic dinner or a relaxed business lunch in a cosy atmosphere.
