Situated a mere 4.5 km from Etosha National Park, Andersson’s Camp – named after the celebrated Swedish explorer, Charles Andersson, who ‘discovered’ the park in 1851 – is ideally placed for anyone wishing to explore Namibia’s premier wildlife destination.
Energy–saving initiatives have been implemented in the form of solar panels used to generate power and to heat water for showers. The camp offers 20 canvas style tents, each with en–suite bathrooms. The guest units are raised up on wooden decks with double doors leading onto a small veranda for uninterrupted views of the bush and busy waterhole.
Given the camp’s close proximity to Etosha, most of the action revolves around full day game drives into the park. This vast expanse of savannah, which is the largest salt pan in Africa, is positively teeming with wildlife.
