Borgo di Carpiano is one of the hidden treasures of the Umbrian countryside. The property dates back to the Middle Ages and is surrounded by centuries old olive trees and lush woods. In this tranquil place, simplicity, elegance and the warmth of genuine hospitality go perfectly together.
The stone buildings that comprise the Borgo lie on a spur of rock, at the end of which, overlooking the valley below, is a beautiful infinity salt water pool. The former church has been restored and converted into a unique library and drawing room, respecting the historic architecture, the original frescoes and using old materials.
Throughout the property all modern comforts are provided for the discerning traveller. Home-made bread and cakes, fresh vegetables from the kitchen garden and only top quality products are used as ingredients in the Borgo’s recipes.
