The luxury rooms and suites of Castello Banfi – Il Borgo are nestled into the homes that were built alongside the medieval fortress, historically known as Poggio alle Mura, in the 17^th and 18^th centuries when it became safe to live outside of the thick walls and locked gates but prudent to be close for protection.

The hotel features 14 rooms and suites, varying in size, location and décor, all with carefully selected furnishings and fabrics, classic fixtures and luxuriant amenities. The swimming pool is discretely located behind the Borgo and perched above the estate’s Sangiovese Brunello vineyards with a dramatic view of the surrounding countryside.

The estate’s winemakers and sommeliers are available to reveal the character, nuances and origins behind the wines created in the vineyards and nurtured in the winery. Castello Banfi boasts the Wine Bar Banfi, where all the Banfi Wines can be tasted, along with Tuscan ham, Pecorino sheep cheese and Tuscan bread. La Taverna serves traditional Tuscan cuisine in an elegant and friendly ambience.
