Cavas Wine Lodge is located amid the snow–capped Andes Mountains and the fertile, green vineyards of Mendoza. It is the first hotel in South America dedicated to wine and all its secrets. It is not only close to many of the well–known Argentinean wineries, but situated directly in the middle of 35 acres of vines.
There are 14 spacious rooms, called ‘vignettes’ because they are inside the vineyard. Every room has a view of the Andes Mountains, so that guests can enjoy a glass of wine on their terrace while watching the sunset behind the mountains. Each room also boasts its own plunge pool for guests to retreat during the Mendoza summer.
The soul of the lodge is its wine cellar, which gives the lodge its name. The ‘cava’ is underground providing the perfect temperature and atmosphere to store the best labels of Argentinean wine. From the cava wine cellar, a circular staircase leads directly to the library, the restaurant, and the spa.
