Located in the Huab River Valley, a pristine wilderness area in Namibia, Damaraland Camp is a rare synergy which integrates the local community and the environment with sustainable eco tourism.
Accommodation at this award winning camp consists of ten comfortable tents, each with en–suite facilities and a veranda that offers arresting views across the valley. The main thatched living area combines the dining area, bar and fireplace. An open campfire is enjoyed during calm evenings allowing guests to trade travel stories and stargaze at their leisure.
Daily camp routine at Damaraland revolves around game drives in search of the unique desert adapted elephants and nature walks where knowledgeable guides point out specially adapted flora and fauna, such as shepherd’s trees and euphorbia. Trips to some of Africa’s best known rock engravings, including the famous Twyelfontein etchings, can be also be organised.
