In a small Skoura palm grove, at the edge of the Sahara desert, lies Dar Ahlam – meaning “house of dreams.” Never has a name been more apt for truly this soaring red brick citadel is something special.
Step inside the 19th century Kasbah and prepare to be wowed. The décor blends traditional Moroccan and modern French influences to great effect. The luxurious accommodation consists of nine suites and three villas -surrounding a private courtyard with pool - all uniquely furnished but equally stylish. Guests also get to dream under the stars in a two-person tent in the desert.
Mouthwatering Moroccan meals can be enjoyed in a different location each night – be it under the olive trees, on the terrace or by the pool. There’s also a hamman where trained therapists dispense daily massages.
Outside the walls of Dar Ahlam, visit the vast Sahara Desert as well as the nearby salt mines, Ouarzazate Lake and the Valley of the Roses.
