Remote and exclusive, Desert Rhino Camp represents the ultimate in rustic luxury. A joint venture between Wilderness Safaris and Namibia’s Save the Rhino Trust, the mobile camp can accommodate a maximum of 16 guests in eight comfortable en–suite tents. There’s also a main lounge and dining tent that serves up spectacular views of the desert and mountain in addition to memorable meals.
The reserve’s freshwater springs support healthy populations of predators such as spotted and brown hyena, cheetah, lion and leopard, as well as giraffe, gemsbok, springbok, kudu, Hartmann’s mountain zebra not forgetting the famous desert adapted elephant and black rhino. Indeed, Damaraland is the only place in the world where guests can find free roaming black rhino and one of the highlights of any stay at this luxurious retreat in the heart of the one million acre private Palmwag Concession, is tracking the endangered species.
