Built in 1858, Grasmere Lodge, near Christchurch on New Zealand’s South Island, sits high in the Southern Alps. It is a dramatic and historic homestead where 6,000 hectares of Grasmere Station lie between the bush–clad slopes of Arthur’s Pass National Park.
With only 12 elegant rooms and suites Grasmere Lodge is able to accommodate up to 24 guests in utmost comfort. All rooms and suites feature a Jacuzzi, original artworks and are decorated in the rich colours. In addition to this, each suite has its own gas fireplace, walkthrough wardrobes, antique desks, internet port and a balcony with magnificant view of the mountains.
