The 150–year old fort commands magnificent panoramic views over the desert hills, olive groves and the majestic snow–capped Atlas Mountains. The desert fort has been splendidly restored with impeccable taste and attention to detail, into an enchanting retreat. Spacious, high–ceiling, air–conditioned suites are decorated in traditional materials and boast fine, hand–crafted objets d’art and antiques. Some suites even feature luxury tents made from antique textiles, whilst all have a terrace.

A huge mosaic tiled swimming pool, scented, water–filled gardens and an Aromatherapy Spa as well as a traditional hammam provide the facilities for indulgent rejuvenation. Excellent Moroccan and international cuisine is served in a candlelit riad, high on the ramparts, on a terrace beneath the star–studded desert sky or amongst the olive trees. The hotel boasts a cookery school offering Moroccan culinary programmes.
