La Casa Que Canta stands ingeniously sculpted on a cliff with a magnificent panoramic view of Zihuatanejo bay. Built of native materials and decorated with fine hand–crafted Mexican furniture, this secluded and distinctive hotel was the romantic retreat for Meg Ryan and Andy Garcia in the movie ‘When A Man Loves A Woman’. The resort, with the beautiful Sierra Madre Mountains in the background, is settled amid 16 miles of hilly coastline, laden with sandy beaches and scalloped coves.
At the bottom of the cliff, surrounded by natural rock formations and offering dramatic upward views of La Casa Que Canta’s architecture, the salt–water pool is a two–tiered continuation of the ocean, beginning with a Jacuzzi connected to the swimming pool and ending with waterfalls cascading back into the ocean. The unusually shaped fresh water infinity pool on the terrace level provides a magnificent sea view as it stretches out on a promontory, overflowing into the bay itself, and seeming to blend with the Pacific.
