Okahirongo Elephant Lodge is situated in the Kaokoland, often described as one of the last truly wild areas in the North West of Namibia, featuring beautiful mountain landscapes and rugged tranquillity. The lodge, located in Purros Conservancy, is a no risk malaria destination and offers a highly sophisticated desert experience for a maximum of 18 guests.
Luxurious accommodation comprises seven double cottages with en-suite large bathrooms overlooking the magnificent surroundings and a spacious private gazebo with a cosy sun bed. The presidential suite features two double bedrooms, verandas, gazebos and a private lounge.
The lodge boasts a spectacular panoramic view and guests can enjoy their stay by either reading a book in the cool comfort of the library or relaxing in one of the two open-air lounges or around the swimming pool. The more active can explore the untouched wilderness area. Activities include morning and afternoon game and scenic drives, desert adapted elephants and lions tracking, as well as walking and hiking to the Houarosib River and surrounding mountains, and visiting the local Himba village.
