Okonjima Bush Suite and the Okonjima Bush Camp Honeymoon Suite form part of Okonjima – a family–owned portfolio of lodges on a massive private reserve halfway between Windhoek and Etosha.
The main camp – the family’s farmhouse up until 1992 – has 10 comfortable chalets while the Bush Camp offers eight African style chalets in addition to a sumptous Honeymoon Suite. But for pure unadulerated opulence the Bush Suite can’t be beaten. The newest addition to Okonjima, the Bush Suite represents the ultimate in pure rustic luxury with its queen sized bed that can be wheeled outside enabling visitors to sleep under the stars, private chef and personal host on hand to attend guests’ every whim.
Not only is Okonjima a luxury lodge, but it’s also home to the Africat Foundation. This non–profit organisation is committed to the long–term conservation of Namibia’s large carnivores, particularly cheetahs and leopards. A stay at Okonjima allows guests to witness some of Africat’s work.
