Ol Donyo Wuas, located on 275,000 acres of private wilderness bordering the slopes of the Chyulu National Park in Southern Kenya and away from the heat and malaria, looks toward the mighty Kilimanjaro and over fabulous open savannas. Completely rebuilt in 2008, the lodge boasts 10 suites with spectacular views over the wildlife plains. All the suites offer separate en-suite bathrooms, indoor and outdoor showers, as well as ‘under the stars’ sleep out rooftop terraces, whilst eight suites feature private swimming pools.
An abundance of activities are offered, including day and night shared game drives, bush walks, learning about anti poaching activities with two resident bloodhounds and visits to remote Masaai villages. Other leisure activities on offer are mountain biking and fly camping in the bush. Horseback riding is also available as optional morning or afternoon activities from the lodge or on one of the longer scheduled departure experiences with Ride Kenya who are based at the lodge. Guests can unwind and relax in their suites as well as sleep out under the stars on the inviting rooftop terrace with dramatic views across the wildlife filled plains.
