Olonana is idyllically nestled in the Masaai Mara on the banks of the Mara River. This unique setting offers a world of remarkable opportunities for safari adventurers. In addition to big game viewing in the Masaai Mara Reserve, visitors are offered a rare glimpse of the day–to–day lives of the Maasai people in the adjacent Maasai village.
Olonana features 12 spacious tented pavilions, each tastefully appointed with two comfortable queen–size beds, en–suite bathrooms with showers, and large river–view verandas where guests can watch the resident hippos wallowing.
The chefs will delight guests with exquisite cuisine, which can be served al fresco, perched on the Siria escarpment overlooking the Mara plains or as a picnic deep in the bush. Or guests can sink into the comfortable sitting area with some books from the camp’s library lounge, and then enjoy a delicious dinner in the dining room overlooking the Mara River. A wide range of activities include day and night game drives, bush walks, visits to the adjacent Maasai cultural village and sundowners.
