Side, a luxury design hotel for the contemporary traveller, is situated in the heart of Hamburg. Tucked away in a side street, between the Gänsemarkt square and the National Opera, it is only a few minutes walk from art and cultural centres, shopping precincts and Hamburg’s exhibition site.
Architect Jan Stoermer’s 12–storey tower, with its breathtaking façade combining glass and natural stone, offers accommodation in 178 rooms and suites. The theme of the façade is complimented by the interiors featuring dark wood floors, crisp white linen sheets and simple, clean forms.
The wellness area with a swimming pool, sauna, aromatherapy steam room, gymnasium, solarium and treatment room, is much more colourful adding energy and life. Side’s restaurant ‘Inside’ serves Euro–Asian cuisine while the Fusion bar has established itself as a cool hangout with a DJ spinning the mood on weekends.
