Originally a palazzo built in the 1880s and formerly an ‘ordinary’ hotel, the Straf is an inspired fusion of Italian fashion, original design and elegance, combining minimalist style and classic Italian architecture.
Deliberately designed by architect Vincenzo De Cotiis, the interior of hotel Straf is an eclectic mix of materials, including scratched mirrors, burnished brass, iron, black stone and cement. Despite the hard materials used, the property induces an atmosphere of luxury, opulence and warmth. The 64 rooms and suites come in either a light or dark colour palette and are oddly intimate.
In the heart of Milan, located on a quiet side street a few steps from the Duomo Cathedral, fashionable Via Montenapoleone and La Scala Opera House, the Straf is an artistic endeavour reaching new levels of comfort and offering guests a truly unusual experience.
