Originally built in the Art Deco style during the 1930’s, Tarraleah Lodge’s recent upgrades combine much of the original craftsmanship with contemporary Tasmanian design and the latest in modern communication.
Set high on a ridge overlooking the spectacular Tasmanian walls of green wilderness with views that encompass wild rivers, hills and the heavily wooded valleys far below, the site is host to an enormous range of indigenous flora and fauna, with platypus, quolls, wallabies, wombats, Tasmanian devils and echidnas calling the grounds their home.
More than 80 bird species and eagles have been counted soaring as you sit in the stunning cliff top hot tub. Still today, some say the Tasmanian tiger is about, and one of our engaging wilderness guides is credited with the last reputable sighting.
With an endless supply of outdoor nature activities, some of the best trout fishing to be found anywhere and a world class restaurant recognized by some of the top names in the industry, it’s no wonder that the secret of Tarraleah Lodge has now been revealed.
