Zarafa Camp is a breathtaking camp that overlooks the floodplains of Zibadianja Lagoon in the far Eastern Sector of the 320,000 acres Selinda Reserve, under ancient jackelberry and red ivory forests. The four large, luxuriously appointed tents under flowing canvas boast their own private pools. Each tent is well positioned under shady trees with spectacular views from the private decks, offering a spacious bedroom, en–suite bathroom with copper bath, indoor and outdoor showers, as well as a comfortable lounge.
Guests can choose when they want to explore the surrounding wilderness. Morning and late afternoon wildlife drives in open top 4x4 vehicles are offered, as well as bush walks. At the lagoon itself huge schools of hippo gather and crocodiles slide into the water as guests approach scaring off water birds in great variety and abundance.
Zarafa is probably Africa’s only premier camp creating all its power from the sun with its 170 panel solar farm which charge special batteries supplying the camp with 24 hour electricity.
