King Pacific Lodge

King Pacific Lodge is a floating luxury wilderness lodge built of native pine, cedar and stone on a barge, featuring 17 rooms, wrap–around deck with spectacular views, spa, Jacuzzi and plunge pool. The Great Bear Rainforest surrounding the lodge is the largest remaining tract of temperate rainforest in the world. The lodge, open from May to October, is towed from its winter home in Prince Rupert to its summer operational location in Barnard Harbour.

Professional wilderness guides offer interpretative hikes, fly–fishing, freshwater heli fly–fishing, sea kayaking and floatplane tours, as well as heli–hiking, whale watching, beach combing and cultural tours with the indigenous Gitga’at. The area is teeming with the rare cream–coloured ‘Spirit Bear’, orcas, humpback whales, black bears, seals, sea lions, sea otters and eagles. Guests will be awe struck by the raw beauty of nature, whist being pampered with every luxury amenity and service, from beautifully appointed rooms and suites to gourmet cuisine and fine wines.
