The diverse ecosystem of the Bazaruto Archipelago caters for a range of interests — protected reefs offering numerous dive sites, powdery white beaches, snorkelling in crystal clear waters, a fisherman’s paradise with big game fishing for Marlin and Kingfish, bird watching, freshwater lakes and enormous sand dunes on the eastern shore.

Surrounded by cerulean waters and basking in the tropical sun, Indigo Bay Island Resort on Bazaruto Island, is a tranquil private island paradise. The Resort lures guests with comfort and luxury unbeknown to this part of the world. All 48 bedrooms are air–conditioned, fully mosquito screened, with en–suite shower or bath, mini–bar, 24– hour power, satellite television and telephone. The two additional luxurious suites have private splash pools.

Facilities include a restaurant and cocktail bar overlooking the Bay; a rim–flow swimming pool and wet pool bar, a children’s club, an activities centre with snack bar and scuba training pool. Themed dinners are offered on rotation at three or four different venues including a seafood barbeque on the beach deck. Sundowner cruises, horseback riding or land rover safaris to the dunes, island hopping, kayaks, wind gliders, wind surfers, Hobie Cat sailing and a range of motorised water–sports are also offered.
