Mombo Camp, situated on Mombo Island just off the northern tip of Chief’s Island, is built under the shade of large trees and overlooks a wonderful floodplain teeming with wildlife. Accommodation comprises nice luxuriously furnished tents, raised off the ground, with breathtaking views over the plains. The canvas rooms are spacious and have en–suite facilities with an additional outdoor shower. The guests’ rooms and connecting walkways are up to two metres off the ground, allowing game to wander freely through the camp, but at the same time allowing for guest safety.

The main living and dining area is under thatch and there is a boma for delicious diners under the stars. Large concentrations of plains game occur in front of the camp and guests may view a variety of animals without even leaving their deck. There is a plunge pool for relaxing in the heat of the day.

Drives in open 4x4 vehicles explore the savannah and floodplains where wildlife and birds abound. Game drives are exciting with excellent sightings of abundant big game.
