Amankila is set on a cliff–edge overlooking the Lombok Strait in East Bali. The 34 free–standing thatched–roof suites are elevated to take advantage of the spectacular views to the sea and surrounding hillsides. Traditional Balinese massage and beauty treatments are available in the privacy of the guests’ suites, in the massage pavilion or at the beach club where teakwood massage tables are hidden away in a grove of coconut palms and flowering bushes.

Located on one of Bali’s most traditional regencies, guests can discover its untouched rural countryside, dramatic coastline, crafts and culture as well as its royal past. The Manggis family temple is perched on the cliffside facing Amankila’s private beach. The beach club has eight private lounging bales and offers a range of water sports. Aside from the beach club swimming pool, a three–tier pool dominates the landscape just below the lobby. Set into the cliff–edge, the blue–tiled pools face the sea and flow one into the other, stepping down like terraced fields.
