Amangani clings to the crest of East Gros Ventre Butte, some 2,130 metres above sea level and affords magnificent views of the Grand Tetons and Snake River Valley below. The 40–suite, three–storey resort is set on the cliff–edge of a butte. Its roof, crafted of cedar shakes, flows like a natural outcropping. The warm swimming pool and Jacuzzi enjoy magnificent mountain views, especially at sunset.

The winter highlights are skiing, snowmobiling, dog–sledding and snowshoeing to track winter wildlife. In summer, the surrounding wilderness areas of Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks are amongst the attractions. Wildlife sightings may include moose, elk, muledeer, bison, pronghorn sheep and perhaps even black bears and grizzly bears emerging from their long hibernation. From fly fishing to hiking and horseback riding, outdoor activities abound as the warmer months unfold.
