The World is the only luxury resort at sea where a refined atmosphere is the setting for resident owners who enjoy a lifestyle of adventure. Continuously travelling around the globe, The World has an extended stay of an average 2.5 days in ports at the most interesting destinations for in–depth exploration. Guests also have the possibility to join this residential community through a rental programme.

Residences include 106 spacious private apartments, 19 studio apartments and 40 studios. All of them include private verandas and are elegantly furnished. An international staff of 250 offer gracious and personal service in a warm, inviting ambience much like that of a private yacht, seaside villa or exclusive country club. Offered services include housekeeping, catering and laundry, as well as 24–hours room service, security staff and an available doctor and nurse.

Guests live the unique experience of exploring fjords, mountains, icebergs, deserts, coral reefs and beaches without leaving their homes. Shore excursions can also be arranged to discover many aspects of local cultures.
