Before Antarctica21 started operating, adventure travellers who wanted to reach the Antarctic Peninsula had only one option: to sail across the tempestuous Drake Passage. Today, a comfortable two-hour flight takes the modern-day explorers from Punta Arenas, in the Chilean Patagonia, directly to Antarctica where they board the expedition ship. There has never been a more attractive alternative to avoid the stormy seas of the Drake Passage as well as the potential seasickness that goes with it. Antarctica21 offers a boutique-style wilderness adventure, not a cruise.
