Ballynahinch Castle is located in scenic Connemara on Ireland’s West Coast. The hotel has a wonderful history dating over 260 years and today it is a world-renowned hotel on a 700-acre estate. It is an intimate property with 48 luxury bedrooms and suites and two luxury properties available for exclusive use. The hotel prides itself on exceptional service and attention to detail and was voted one of the Top 500 Hotels in the World in 2021 by Travel & Leisure.

The hotel has undergone extensive renovations over the past seven years since the purchase of the hotel by the current owners and now houses one of the country’s finest private art collections including works by Jack Yeats, Louis le Brocquy, William Leech, and Sean Scully. The most recent refurbishment was undertaken by Bryan O’Sullivan, BOS Studio in London whose other works include Claridge’s and The Berkeley.

The kitchen team prepares creative, diverse menus made with the finest of estate and local products including those from the walled garden enjoyed by guests in the elegant Owenmore Restaurant overlooking the river and the less formal Fisherman’s Pub.

On-site activities include 10 miles of river & woodland walking trails, cycling, hiking, and clay shooting. It is also one of the finest fly-fishing destinations in Ireland and for game enthusiast’s woodcock shooting is available between November and January.
