Tuscan hospitality meets haute cuisine amidst historic surroundings
Situated on the brow of a hill in the heart of the Brunello wine region, the medieval fortress and stone hamlet at Castello Banfi Il Borgo has been transformed into a sublime boutique hotel offering just twelve suites and two rooms that look out over olive groves and vineyards.
Each has been decorated with a different colour scheme; exquisite furnishings complement the tiled floors, wooden beams and stone arches, and luxurious bathrooms are supplied with natural cosmetics made from the local Sangiovese grape.
An oenological and culinary destination, guests are invited to indulge in authentic Tuscan cuisine paired with a rich selection of Castello Banfi wines at the hotel’s two restaurants, attend cooking classes and tour the state of the art winery. In between savouring the rich Tuscan flavours, there are rolling hills to hike over, vineyards to cycle through, a heated pool to relax by and absolute tranquillity to absorb.
