The origin of a unique and singular project
Castilla Termal Olmedo was built on the foundations of the old Sancti Spiritus Mudéjar convent dating back to the 12th Century, in the heart of Villa de Olmedo. This historical building has been carefully restored and converted into an elite hotel. Since 2004, the first hotel of the group offers a perfect combination of history, elegance and wellness: the idyllic retreat for those looking to simply rest, reconnect with nature, and explore some of Spain’s most beautiful and undiscovered places.
Some of its 82 rooms are built upon the old dormitories of the historic convent. It still features the convent’s old chimney in the relaxation room of the Patio Mudéjar Experience, in their astounding Wellness Area.
They are committed to sustainability throughout the property; they have respected the original architecture of this historic building and are devoted to its preservation.
The hotel also offers an exceptional culinary experience. Its high-quality restaurant combines local tradition with modern influences, offering a wide selection of gourmet dishes designed and prepared with fresh, km0 and seasonal ingredients, accompanied by an impeccable collection of white D.O. Rueda wines from the region, as well as their exquisite Converso wine: an internationally-awarded and limited-production Crianza red wine.
