Hotel Villa Cipriani

italy – sleep MASTER

Hotel Villa Cipriani, one hundred horizons

Just a stone’s throw from the walled town of Asolo lies one of Italy’s hidden treasures, Hotel Villa Cipriani. Built during Palladian era, originally a private country residence, the distinctive and handsome hotel boasts 28 stylishly furnished bedrooms set amid wonderful gardens. From the privacy and tranquillity of Villa Cipriani, guests can immerse themselves in the extraordinary cultural hub of Asolo and its surroundings.

The rooms are divided between the main villa and the garden house, Casa Giardino. Expect exposed 18th-century beams, parquet floors, carefully curated antiques and furniture crafted by local artisans; and, in the bathrooms, exquisite, traditional tiles from Vietri sul Mare.

The hotel’s restaurant and American Bar are open daily and offer an elegant setting for dinner and a refined atmosphere for lunch, with stunning views of the surrounding hills and plains.

The heart of Villa Cipriani is its famous garden, whose enchanting colours and scents dazzle with every season. It is dotted with tulips in April and teeming with perfumed roses in May. During the final months of the year, it is powerfully fragranced by the large persimmon tree in front of the terrace. The hotel’s list of illustrious guests attests to its endless charms: members of royal families such as the Queen Mother, the Duke of Edinburgh and Juliana of the Netherlands; movie stars including amongst others Marcello Mastroianni, Vittorio de Sica, Orson Welles, Peter O’Toole, Catherine Deneuve, Kim Basinger and Sharon Stone; and tycoons like Aristotle Onassis and Cesare Romiti.

But such names have leaked through the cracks – the hotel makes it a priority to protect the confidentiality of all guests, ensuring that their stay is peaceful and uninterrupted.
