Underwater Sledding with the Seabob F5-S by Cayago
In 1965 Ian Fleming’s ‘Thunderball’ was released. With Sean Connery portraying the charismatic, womanising spy that everyone loves. As always the movie showcased a host of gadgets that had audiences in awe. One such gadget was the underwater sled used to propel the hero into an epic underwater battle.
Fast-forward a quarter of a century later and finally an underwater sled worthy of being used by James Bond himself has arrived.
Over the years many companies have produced underwater sea sleds. Each year newer models became smaller and more powerful than their predecessors. Though all are quite unlike Cayago’s Seabob range.
At the pinnacle of the Cayago Seabob range is the F5-S. The F5-S is considered as being one of the world’s fastest water sleds. Hitting twenty kilometres per hour over water and an incredible fifteen kilometres per hour underwater, that’s almost three times what rival models can achieve.
On the technical side, the F5-S weighs in at thirty five kilograms, has runtime of around sixty minutes and can dive to forty metres below the surface.
Re-enacting the underwater battle scene from Thunderball can now be achieved by anyone. Sled mounted spear-guns not included.
