Palácio Ludovice Wine Experience Hotel - Where history meets luxury, around a glass of wine

Former private residence of João Federico Ludovice architect to King João V in the 18 th century, the palace became a building of interest after having survived the 1755 Lisbon Great Earthquake due to the use of an innovative construction technique. As a result it has served as inspiration for the reconstruction of the entire city centre.

Nestled in the heart of historic Lisbon amidst the mythical Chiado, Bairro Alto and Príncipe Real neighborhoods, Palácio Ludovice faces the breathtaking panoramic views of the São Pedro de Alcântara Viewpoint and the iconic Glória Tram.

The hotel features 61 rooms and suites, an iconic gastronomic experience at Federico restaurant, the emblematic Port Wine Institute shop and luxurious grapevine wellness treatments at the Caudalie Boutique-Spa.

Located at the central courtyard, Federico Restaurant & Wine Bar stands as the perfect place for food and wine lovers. The glass ceiling allows the unique Lisbon light to flood the space all day and the 72m2 vertical garden brings freshness to the sophisticated décor.

The bar area is quite unique, with its original brick ceiling and a signature floor-to-ceiling counter aligned with a glass wine cellar. This is the place to enjoy great music in a cosmopolitan ambiance.

Sharing the passion for wine and the art of the grapevine, the Hotel features exclusive Caudalie Vinothérapie treatments. A fully furnished fitness room with state-of-the-art equipment is available to guests.
