Palazzo Talìa - A magnificent 16th-century palace in the heart of Rome

Located in the heart of Rome, just 200 metres from the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain, Palazzo Talìa opened its doors on May 2024, offering an intimate and refined hospitality experience in one of the city's most iconic settings.

Housed within a magnificent 16th-century palace that once served as one of Europe’s oldest and most prestigious boarding schools, Palazzo Talìa features an exclusive collection of just 26 rooms and suites, ensuring privacy, personalised service, and an intimate atmosphere. The property seamlessly combines historic grandeur with contemporary luxury. Original architectural elements, including wooden ceilings, frescoes, and restored Roman marble busts, have been meticulously preserved and showcased throughout the hotel.

The interiors blend heritage and modern design through bespoke furnishings conceived by acclaimed Italian filmmaker Luca Guadagnino in collaboration with Galleria Mia and Laura Feroldi.

Among the hotel’s most remarkable spaces is the Aula Magna, a spectacular 356-square-metre ballroom with frescoed walls and soaring eleven-metre-high ceilings. This unique venue can be transformed into an extraordinary Presidential Suite or serve as an exceptional setting for private events and celebrations.

At the heart of the palazzo, adjacent to the ancient Aqua Virgo and surrounded by centuries-old stone beneath atmospheric barrel vaults, lies one of Palazzo Talia’s best-kept secrets, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The wellness area features an iconic 33-square-metre heated relaxation pool, a sauna, Turkish bath, fitness room, and two treatment rooms.

The culinary offering includes Bar della Musa, an intimate cocktail bar distinguished by its elegant atmosphere and beautifully decorated ceilings featuring historic grotesque motifs. The hotel’s signature restaurant, Tramae, led by Chef Marco Coppola, celebrates the flavours of Rome, Venice, and Sorrento, with a particular focus on fresh raw seafood specialties.
