STRAF, an unconventional hotel with an intellectual design in the heart of Milan

STRAF is located a few steps from the Duomo Cathedral in Milan’s city centre. It was born with a new concept of hospitality in mind, characterised by a careful and at the same time informal service. The architect Vincenzo De Cotiis used unusual materials, recycling objects and experimenting with the surroundings environment, creating an interior design far from the usual hotel industry standards. The 64 inviting rooms are equipped with hi-tech features and made with refined and innovative materials with a minimalist touch such as slate, burnished brass, concrete and iron. Numerous and unique are the furnishing accessories specially designed by Vincenzo De Cotiis.

In addition to a fully equipped fitness room, the new H2O Wellness Boutique appears as a refined place, dedicated to wellbeing and relaxation, consisting of a sauna, a steam bath, an emotional shower, as well as a relax area and a swimming pool where a counter-current system ensures a decent swim for swimmers of all levels and a Whirlpool.

Guests enter an elegant area where the use of contrasting materials evoke a pleasant sense of calm and peace. The bar has been designed using the same basic materials, such as concrete or industrial iron panels that transmit a constant vibe in the atmosphere. People seeking a stylish, urban hangout will enjoy the unconventional atmosphere of the bar and the cool service.
