The Park Hyatt Saigon, the rebirth of grandeur in Vietnamese life

The coast of Vietnam is a tropical place, where the low Annamite Mountains send countless rivers down from their highlands. The Mekong River wanders around the southern end of the range, through the jungles of Cambodia and into Vietnam, where it forms the rich and verdant Mekong Delta, one of the great rice basins in the world. Most of this rice will find its way to Ho Chi Minh City, where the Saigon River will take the rice and high tonnages of other materials to the ocean and the rest of the world. Located in the heart of the city’s most lively downtown district, the Ben Nge, is the Park Hyatt Saigon, a deluxe hotel with a distinguished name and a well-earned five star rating, prospering in the setting of a revitalized city.

Ho Chi Minh City is the largest urban area in Vietnam, an economic engine that creates most of the nation’s wealth, and it attracts travelers from all of over the world with its exotic combination of Asian and French Colonial culture, its history of conquest in the 60’s, and its beckoning vitality as a place for investment. With its French Colonial architecture and location across from the Saigon Opera House, the Park Hyatt could be a grand old luxury concourse of Europe. The Hyatt can provide interested guests with dozens of lavish amenities, such as limousine service, personal butler accommodations, a Technology Concierge for event planners, and many other bespoke offerings.

A New Dignity For a Colonial Monument

The Park Hyatt is a huge facility, and the ten-story building is recently refurbished, with its public areas now clad in white and ivory décor. The estate offers its clientele a selection of 245 rooms, in the categories of Standard, View, Deluxe, and Suite, and each room features lavish Vietnamese fabrics, white marble bathrooms, and designer toiletries. In the hotel courtyard, the landscaped garden and twenty-meter swimming pool with sundeck are available, and all guests have access to the 24-hour fitness center located in the hotel’s Spa. The Xuan Spa is one of the largest and best-regarded wellness centers in the entire city. Serving both sexes over the age of sixteen, the spa menu features sauna, steam and whirlpool, an excellent tea menu, and personal training in the fitness center and Yoga sessions.

A City Decorated in Bright Sights

The popular parts of Ho Chi Minh City are decorated in many lively colours throughout the year, depending on weather and festivals, and simply wandering around the beautifully draped streets can be a wonderful experience. For those travelers who wish a bespoken tour of the city, the hotel will happily arrange helicopter flights, and other transport. The Cao Ban Thanh (the Ban Thanh Market) is a large street vendor facility that guarantees close contacts with shoppers and vendors, and the city is filled with French Colonial architecture that would delight any student of design. The Saigon Opera House now books all sort of events, and is worth a visit, and there are many museums dedicated to the North Vietnam vs. United States war of the 60’s, such as the War Remnant Museum, as well as memorials to Vietnam’s surprisingly frequent thrashings of Chinese and Thai invaders.

A Time For Pizza in Asia

When you visit the Park Hyatt Saigon, be sure to enjoy the several dining options available. Vietnam embraced the French dedication to good food during the Colonial era, and today the Park honorable reflects this amazing national cuisine of melded French and Asian elements. The Opera Restaurant salutes the Saigon Opera building next door, and features Italian cuisine. Al fresco dining is available here, along with that curious affection that Ho Chi Minh dwellers have for pizza baked in wood burning ovens, which parallels the Vietnamese love of French technique. The Square One restaurant features an emphasis on Vietnamese seafood, and the Park Lounge and 2 Lam Son Bar feature lighter fare with excellent cocktails. The dining at the Park Hyatt will end your day perfectly, and you will be ready to continue your explorations of the city on the Saigon River when you rise again, after a night of unsurpassed luxury and relaxation.
