Gran Hotel Son Net is an exquisite Mallorcan estate
With the warm pink-orange glow of its façade and elegant Moorish arches, the Gran Hotel Son Net is a fine example of quintessentially Mallorcan architecture and style. From its elevated position on a secluded hilltop set against the Sierra Tramuntana Mountains it overlooks the traditional village of Puigpunyent, one of the few Mallorcan villages that has remained untouched by tourism.
During its refurbishment, great care was taken to preserve the character of the building preserving its natural stone flagged floors and ancient wooden beams. Art lovers will enjoy the owners’ private collection of modern paintings that are displayed in the public areas. The Tree House offers the opportunity to enjoy a unique “bird’s eye view” of the Sierra Tramuntana Mountains and is available for private functions.
The estate’s original olive oil press has been converted into a gourmet restaurant. An entire side of the estate has been planted with vines and a variety of white, rosé and red wines have been especially selected to offer guests Son Net’s own range of Mallorcan wines. The vibrant city of Palma de Mallorca is only a 15-minute drive away whilst splendid beaches, golf courses and historical sites are to be found within only half an hour drive.
