Lyngen Lodge, your arctic luxurious adventure
Lyngen Lodge is a stunning, all year round boutique hotel, located high above the Arctic Circle in the north of Norway. With its beautiful, unruffled surroundings, the lodge combines the need for adventure and exploration with luxury accommodation and fine cuisine.
Putting a great emphasis on their hosting abilities, the team at Lyngen Lodge manage to create a home away from home feel, bringing your favourite luxuries and comforts to the Arctic for you. Fitting a maximum of only 18 guests across 8 en-suite rooms, guests can expect a very personalized experience at the lodge.
Amenities at Lyngen Lodge include the dining suite, bar and lounge with its cosy open fireplace, library and meeting room for the enjoyment of all guests. For a little relaxaton, also find a sauna and outdoor jacuzzi available. The importance of hosting continues throughout the catering at the lodge. Local produce is handpicked by the in-house chefs to ensure that all food prepared showcases the culinary delights of Norwegian coastal culture at its best.
The lodge celebrates traditional design, with its Norwegian pine timer frame and thick glass roof to fit into the environment as naturally as possible, yet encompasses warmth and comfort for its guests. Likewise, guests will find the pastel interiors of Lyngen Lodge charming yet stylish and in keeping with its natural surroundings. It was important for the lodge to expose guests to the breathtaking views of Lyngen Alps, which can be enjoyed throughout the centre of the lodge, thanks to the large panoramic windows.
Whilst staying at the Lyngen Lodge throughout winter, experience the Northern Lights – which can be enjoyed directly from the lodge. Winter activities are available during this time, alongside a facts seminar for those looking to learn more about the Northern Lights. Enjoy dog sledding, horse sledding and cross country skiing alongside snow shoeing, ice fishing and even a sea safari by boat or photography instruction and of course, skiing, during your time at the lodge.
Summertime activities and adventures can also be enjoyed at the lodge. Celebrating the midnight sun, that joins the Arctic at the end of May, the lodge hosts activities for both relaxation and exploration. Guests can enjoy the rich paradise that comes during the summer, with florals in bloom, wildlife roaming and the waterfall cascading in full force, the landscape can be explored through romantic walks or hikes and even fishing and horse riding.
For your mountainous and fjord based adventures, the Spirit of Lyngen boat provides transportation. Built for the Arctic sea, the boat is perfect for accessing adventurous hikes throughout the summer and facilitates boat skiing in winter. Guests will also find the Spirit of Lyngen suitable for their exploration requirements with a fitted gallery, amenities and fishing supplies.
