Lake Garda is part of the lake district, located in the northern part of the country, and the largest one in Italy. The property was built in the nineteenth century as a hunting lodge by the Habsburgs, the last Austrian emperors. It was converted into one of the first Grand Hotels in the region in 1888. The hotel is located directly at the lakeside, in a beautiful 12.000 sqm of lush garden with direct access to the lake. The guests can enjoy the beauty of the park, in complete privacy, while relaxing with a stunning lake view. All the rooms have been recently refurbished with a contemporary design, maintaining a touch of classic style. There are a total of 80 rooms, divided into 4 different categories (Comfort, Superior, Deluxe, Suite), in order to please all the guests’ wishes and needs. All around the hotel, it’s possible to enjoy a contemporary design: in the beautiful hall in its beige and blue shades, in the elegant Gin Lounge, on the panoramic terrace. Every detail has been carefully chosen to make our hotel unique and stylish. Our restaurants will enchant you with their lovely settings and our refined, gourmet menus created with local ingredients by Award-Winning Executive Chef Matteo Felter.
We offer 4 different options: The gourmet restaurant “Il Fagiano”, the seafood restaurant “Il Pescatore”, the lunch-restaurant “Magnolia” and our Shore Club “La Darsena”. Each restaurant will tell you a story of taste, the chefs and their signature dishes will tickle every one of your senses. Including one of the very few Aveda Destination Spas, offering sensitively chose treatments that restore the inner equilibrium and provide a unique sensory experience. The Aqva Spa covers an area of more than 3.500 sqm offering 3 pools, 2 whirlpools, 3 different saunas, and 2 Turkish bathrooms, relaxation areas and a Kneipp circuit.
